For wedding planners

We produce in Morocco. You keep your client.

Sehra Morocco is a French house that produces Indian weddings in Morocco, working as a DMC would. We produce the Moroccan side of your wedding (permits, palaces, Jain kitchens, customs, logistics) while you keep the family, the creative and the credit.

What we handle in Morocco

A planner from Mumbai, Delhi, Dubai or London knows how to run a wedding for 300 guests. Producing it in Morocco is another job: each point below can stop a wedding, and none of them is in a palace brochure.

  1. Permits

The sacred fire falls under Morocco's fire-safety rules (decree 2-14-499): the venue's safety officer approves the set-up, and the Civil Protection may inspect it. Fireworks need a licensed pyrotechnician and an authorisation under law 22-16. Drones fly only with an authorised professional operator and a local permit, never near airports or royal palaces. A Baraat that leaves the estate goes onto the public road, so we clear the route with the local authorities.

  2. Venue rules

The palaces that have answered us require full privatisation for a wedding of this size. None publishes the time the music must stop, and some publish the weddings they host. Before your first quote, we get the privatisation terms, the music curfew and the image rights in writing.

  3. Kitchens

Most palaces impose their own caterer, and some accept no outside chef. A guest Indian chef must work under the food-safety approval (ONSSA) of the venue or of a Moroccan caterer. Maharajs travel on an e-Visa, and a work permit, when one is needed, takes about six to eight weeks. Depending on the venue, we set up anything from a guest chef working with the palace brigade to a pop-up kitchen on the estate, with pure veg and Jain kitchens kept apart.

  4. Customs

Decor, costumes and tandoors can travel under an ATA carnet, accepted at Marrakech-Menara airport. Spices and dairy products need certificates and an ONSSA authorisation. We work through a licensed customs broker and plan shipments about sixty days ahead.

  5. Insurance

Under Morocco's insurance code (law 17-99, article 3), risks located in Morocco can only be insured by an insurer approved in Morocco. An Indian or British policy may not cover your event, so we build the cover with a local placement, through a broker with a correspondent in Morocco.

  6. Logistics

Up to 300 guests, several venues and late nights: vehicles and drivers, airport welcome, rooming lists and concierge. Indian guests travel on Morocco's e-Visa, and the official rules advise filing a family's or a group's applications together, so we organise them that way.

How we work with planners

01

Referral

You introduce the family. We sign with them and produce the whole wedding, and you receive a referral fee on ours.

02

Co-production

You sign with the family and stay front stage. We produce everything in Morocco, and we share the fee.

03

White label

You keep the family and the contract. We produce in Morocco under your name and invoice you.

We work in English with planners in India, Dubai and London, by e-mail and video call, and we reply within 48 hours. Fees and shares are discussed on a video call.

Questions

What planners ask us first

Do you publish prices?

No. Every wedding is different, so we send your local production budget once we have a complete brief. Fees and shares are discussed on a video call.

Can our Indian caterer cook in the palace?

Only if the venue accepts an outside chef, and always under the food-safety approval of the venue or of a Moroccan caterer. Some palaces refuse, so we get the answer in writing before your quote.

Where can the sacred fire burn?

Where the venue's safety officer approves it, under Morocco's fire-safety rules. It is the first of the six points the venue confirms in writing before your quote.

Will our insurance cover the wedding in Morocco?

Not necessarily. Moroccan law requires risks located in Morocco to be insured by an insurer approved in Morocco, so we build the cover with a local placement.

Can we ship decor and outfits from India?

Yes. Decor, costumes and equipment can travel under an ATA carnet, accepted at Marrakech-Menara airport. Spices and dairy products need certificates and an ONSSA authorisation, and we plan shipments about sixty days ahead.

Who signs with the family?

In referral, we do. In co-production and white label, you do, and we produce the Moroccan side for you.

Will you ever contact our families?

Never. Each family is registered to you before any names are exchanged, and any message a family sends us goes back to you.

Have you already produced weddings in Morocco?

Not yet. Sehra Morocco is a new house, and our first wedding is planned for late 2027. That is why everything that matters is confirmed in writing by the venue before your first quote.
